Bailey has cracked. The former infantryman, who has been hunted by the law for the last 3 years since he killed a prostitute
in a drunken rage, had fallen in with the Dragon Below cult out of desperation. But not because he believed in their sectarian
babbling. Faced with a pair of adventurers who had systematically cut through the various guards and monsters protecting the
cult's secret headquarters, Bailey gave up. He talks rapidly, but tiredly. He does not want to run anymore. He'll tell you
what you want to know, and then he'll face the law.
"The north door leads to our barracks and living quarters and a storage area. One storage area has some kind of fire trap.
We aren't allowed in it. Only Grallika or Bane was allowed in. Bane is the evil elven cleric that you ignited. Grallika is
our leader. He's a shifter, and he hates shifters. Hates himself I guess. He's going to sacrifice that guy Kegga that we caught
down here, the foreman, and raise up some really horrible nasty thing from another plane of existance. Some fiend that makes
the bat-thing that you got past look like nothing."
He sketches a map of this level, which is accurate, and the next and final level, which he has only seen once, so he thinks
that it is accurate but he is not sure. You can search the storage room without the trap, or attempt to bypass the trap on
the eastern room. He warns you that the ladder down the shaft is rigged with very loud bells along its entire length.
Bailey says that the gaurds in the lower level consist of 4 human with whips and studded leather who are taskmasters of
a group of halfling slaves. There are also 3 goblin archers, a restored warforged barbarian named Loner that you met before
(the one who thinks that he is fighting for Thrane), and Grallika himself, who is a wizard and a cleric. He says that the
taskmasters aren't great fighters, this little crew was the last major muscle. But he warns that the goblins are sneaky.
